A little bit of feedback from you!
This is THE best kind of thank you that you can ever get!
This beautiful card was made by Class F2 at Parkside Primary Academy, Barnsley after I’d visited them to read my book. What fantastic listeners they were! We did a little Create a Character workshop afterwards and they were all full of incredible ideas for new characters.
They also gave me a box of chocolates…… they didn’t last long enough to be photographed! Thank you F2, you are all stars!
“The A Dog Called Bear series is just perfect for children! Parents and educators will love reading it too.” Ashlee, Primary teacher and parent.
“This half term we have been very lucky as we have had a visit from an author. Helen Walker has written stories about her dog’s adventures and we loved to hear what mischief Bear gets up to! This visit inspired many of Orange Class who were busy writing their own stories. The children worked with Helen to create their own character and they named it ‘Catdog’.” The Mount Junior, Infant & Nursery School, Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
“As an early childhood educator, this new talented, upcoming author enables me to introduce my students to her wonderful books. The English jargon used in her stories enables me to connect children with English traditions, language and customs. Her stories are relatable to the children, as are her drawings, and she has inspired many of my kindergartners to write their own books and accept their artistic renditions. Thank you Helen.” Wanda Hanson, Executive Director of Twin Oaks Farm Learning Centre Inc. Rehoboth, Massachusetts.
